At Applied Conveyor Technology (ACT), we keep dust collectors breathing. Bag and cartridge change-outs, leak detection, pulse-system repair, differential-pressure troubleshooting and full rebuilds — on any brand of baghouse or cartridge collector — from crews based in Fontana, California, with replacement filters on the shelf.
At Applied Conveyor Technology (ACT), we understand that a dust collector is the one piece of equipment in the plant that everyone forgets until the air district doesn’t. Bags blind, cages rust through, pulse valves stick, and differential pressure creeps up until the process behind the collector slows down or the stack starts showing. Since 1991 our crews have serviced baghouses and cartridge collectors for cement, aggregate, mining, recycling and processing plants across Southern California and the West Coast — and because two of the companies in The ACT Group were built entirely around air pollution control, this is not a sideline for us.
Compliance You Can Document: Every service visit leaves you with a record — what was inspected, what was changed, what the pressure drop looked like before and after. When South Coast AQMD or your insurer asks, the answer is a file, not a memory.
Uptime Behind the Collector: A plugged baghouse is a bottleneck for the mill, the crusher or the packer it serves. We schedule change-outs around your shutdowns and carry the filters so a service call is one visit, not two.
Any Brand, Any Age: Donaldson Torit, Camfil, Imperial Systems, UAS, Nederman, RoboVent, MikroPul, and baghouses old enough that nobody remembers who built them. If it moves air through a filter, we service it.
Bag and cartridge change-outs: Complete filter replacement with the correct media for your dust, temperature and moisture, installed and seated properly so new filters don’t leak on day one.
Cages, venturis and tube sheets: Replacement of corroded or bent cages, missing venturis and damaged tube-sheet seals — the hardware that quietly ruins new bags.
Leak detection: Fluorescent leak-powder testing and inspection to find the one torn bag or failed seal that is putting dust out the stack, without changing everything.
Pulse-cleaning system repair: Diaphragm valves, solenoids, timer and sequence boards, header pressure and compressed-air quality — the cleaning system is where most “bad bag” problems actually live.
Differential-pressure troubleshooting: When dP climbs and cleaning cycles can’t bring it down, we find out whether it is media, moisture, cleaning air, airflow or the process — and fix the cause rather than the symptom.
Hoppers, airlocks and discharge: Rotary airlocks, screw conveyors, slide gates, level sensors and bridged hoppers, so the dust you catch actually leaves the collector.
Fans, dampers and ductwork: Fan wheel and bearing service, damper repair, duct leaks and worn elbows that steal the airflow your hoods need.
Rebuilds, retrofits and upgrades: Structural and housing repair, pleated-bag and cartridge conversions, cleaning-system upgrades and controls that extend a good collector’s life for a fraction of replacement.
Inspections and scheduled maintenance: Documented walk-downs and filter programs through ACTAssure™, so change-outs happen on your calendar instead of the air district’s.
Service crews and the filter shelf are at 14644 El Molino St. in Fontana — minutes from Ontario, Rialto, Riverside, Corona and the rest of the Inland Empire, and a working day from Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, the High Desert and the Central Valley. We serve Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Washington as well, licensed in California (#700731) and Nevada (#0072789). Our dust collection work for Tesla is on the blog if you want to see how we operate.
Cement and lime, aggregate and asphalt, mining and minerals, recycling and scrap, biomass and wood products, food and feed, foundries and metalworking, and bulk terminals — anywhere a collector stands between the process and the neighbors.
Differential pressure climbing, dust at the stack, or a change-out due before the next inspection? Call and we will get a crew and the right filters moving. Since 1991, the plants that call us tend to keep calling.

A baghouse only fails loudly at the stack test
New bags will not fix a collector whose pulse valves are stuck, whose compressed air is wet, or whose airflow is twice the design. Differential pressure is a symptom with half a dozen causes, and most of them are cheaper than filters. That is why our service visits start with the gauge and the cleaning system, not with a case of bags.
Cartridges and bags for the collectors we see most, stocked in Fontana — so a change-out is one visit, not a quote and a wait.

Differential pressure that stays high after cleaning cycles, visible emissions or dust around the stack, dust in the clean-air plenum, a hopper that bridges, or pulse valves you can hear misfiring. Any one of those is a service call; two of them is a collector that is about to cost you production.
When the gauge says so, not the calendar. Most plants see one to three years from bags in normal service, less with abrasive dust, moisture or high temperature. We track pressure drop over time so the change-out lands before the emissions do.
Yes — every major brand and most of the minor ones. Donaldson Torit, Camfil, Imperial Systems, UAS, Nederman, RoboVent, MikroPul and older custom baghouses. We match filters by dimensions and media, not just by part number.
That is how most of our change-outs happen. Tell us the window and we schedule the crew and stage the filters in advance, so the collector is back online before the process is.
Only if the filters were the problem. Stuck pulse valves, wet compressed air, worn diaphragms or excess airflow all raise pressure drop and will do it again to new bags. We check the cleaning system and airflow before recommending filters — sometimes the fix is a set of diaphragms, not a set of bags.
