INDUSTRIAL PARTS
American-made Douglas Manufacturing pulleys — drum, wing, and engineered class — lagged in-house and built to your spec in Pell City, Alabama, with industry-leading lead times.
Request Pricing All PartsFrom Heavy Duty and Quarry Duty through Mine Duty and true Engineered Class, Douglas drum pulleys are built from single-piece rolled rims or solid steel tube, welded with the end discs into one rigid assembly. Hubs and bushings are fully interchangeable with XT® and QD® styles, with keyless locking elements and stainless options available — so replacements drop onto your existing shafting without surprises.

At the tail, fugitive material is the enemy. Douglas self-cleaning wing pulleys use an engineered gusset angle to throw material away from the pulley and belt, and a heavy round contact bar that resists wing folding, protects the belt’s bottom cover from cuts, and lasts up to three times longer than flat-bar wings. Step up to the patented Vortex® Spiral Clean pulley for spiral-groove self-cleaning that also helps belt tracking, or the Integra™ series — drum and wing pulleys with sealed-for-life bearings and up to 33% higher load ratings from reduced bearing centers. Need it turnkey? 1Source™ assemblies arrive with pulley, shaft, and bearings engineered and installed as a single unit.

Transfer points are where pulleys earn their keep
Lagging is the wear surface between pulley face and belt: it boosts traction, cuts belt slippage, improves tracking, and shields the pulley from abrasion. Douglas applies vulcanized rubber lagging in-house in computer-controlled autoclaves with a patented bonding process — giving up to 50% more grip than a bare pulley.

Belt stretch is inevitable — slack doesn’t have to be. Douglas builds seven take-up styles in welded steel with Acme-thread rods (Slide Tube™, top angle, center pull, heavy- and light-duty top mount, wide-slot side mount, and automatic scissors-pivot gravity units), all accepting standard pillow-block bearings. Round out the conveyor with galvanized conveyor covers, patented Guardian™ return-roll guards that cage the pinch point and catch a dropped roll, magnetic separators, and Titan™ impact beds.

Inspected in the field — lagged in-house — built to run
In 2023 the Rulmeca Group acquired Douglas Manufacturing, joining Pell City pulley craftsmanship with the most extensive Motorized Pulley line in the industry. That means The ACT Group now supplies the complete Rulmeca range alongside Douglas drum and wing pulleys — including the motorized pulleys that are changing how conveyor drives get built.

A Motorized Pulley puts the motor, gearbox, and bearings inside the pulley shell, hermetically sealed and continuously lubricated in an oil bath. There is no exposed drive to guard, no pillow blocks to grease, and nothing for dust, weather, or washdown to attack:
The line spans 5.45″ to 40.16″ diameters and 0.13 to 330 HP, with belt speeds up to 1,320 fpm — from compact 138E/165E drives for light-duty belts to the 1000HD for high-tonnage mining and terminal conveyors. Browse the series below, add one to your quote list with your belt width and speed, and we’ll size it for your conveyor.
