A splice should be the strongest part of the belt, not the weakest
Mechanical fasteners have their place, but they hold a fraction of the belt’s rated tension and they wear the cleaners, skirting and pulleys they run over. A hot vulcanized splice disappears into the belt — same strength, same thickness, no metal. That’s why the primaries, the overlands and the belts nobody wants to stop get vulcanized.
A splice failure usually has accomplices — a seized idler, a bare pulley, a cleaner that quit. We carry the parts and can change them on the same visit, on the same quote.

Hot vulcanizing is the strongest, longest-lasting splice and our default for heavy-duty, high-tension and critical belts. Cold vulcanizing suits lighter belts and tight windows where a heated press isn't practical. Tell us the belt spec, tension and what it carries and we'll recommend the right one — and say so if a mechanical fastener is actually the better answer.
