The Stockpile · Pile 01 — The Services
Installation, inspection and rebuilds — on our cannons and most other brands.
Installation, inspection, rebuilds and replacement of air cannon systems — ACT’s own Flash Cannon and most other manufacturers’ cannons. New system layout and welded nozzle installation, sequencing timer setup, elastomer service (QEVs, o-rings, gaskets), and honest condition assessments on cannons that have not fired in years.
Quick exhaust valves, safety cables, o-rings and gaskets stocked in Fontana — for the Flash Cannon and most major brands. See Air Cannons in the parts pile.
Our own direct-blast cannon: the fastest and most powerful in the industry, minimal maintenance, no lubrication, safety-smart isolation valve included, 5-year warranty. If your existing cannons are beyond economic repair, we’ll say so and quote the replacement honestly.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Cannon won’t fire | Solenoid failed, control signal missing, or valve stuck | Verify signal and pilot line; rebuild or swap the valve |
| Weak blast | Low air pressure, leaking fill line, or worn valve seals | Check supply pressure at the tank; rebuild kit for the valve |
| Constant air hiss | Leaking quick-exhaust or fill check valve | Service kit — cheap fix, big compressed-air savings |
| Water in the tank | No drip leg / air prep upstream | Drain, then fix the air supply — wet air kills valves |
| Cannons fire, buildup stays | Wrong placement or sequence for the flow problem | Re-aim the array — this is engineering, not force |
Yes — inspection, rebuilds and parts for most major brands. If a cannon is beyond economic repair we tell you, with a straight replacement quote.
Cannons are locked out and verified as part of any confined-space entry permit, and every cannon we install carries an isolation valve so it can be depressurized individually. Never fire a cannon while anyone is inside the vessel.
At least annually, and more often in hot or high-cycle service. The service items are elastomers — replaced on inspection intervals, not on failure.
Reading about it is free. So is the phone call. Some answers only come from climbing into the equipment — that’s the part we do in person. Tell us the plant, the part and the problem, and you’ll get a real person.
