ABOUT THIS SERVICE

Los Angeles Dust Collection by The ACT Group

Los Angeles County has some of the densest industrial neighborhoods in the country — Vernon, Commerce, City of Industry, Sun Valley, Irwindale, Carson and the harbor — and every one of them has neighbors, inspectors and a South Coast AQMD permit file. A dust collector that drifts out of compliance in L.A. is not a maintenance item; it is a notice of violation and a community complaint. Since 1991 our crews have kept L.A. collectors performing, and our customers across the basin include Cemex, Granite Construction and Tesla, alongside the recyclers, food processors, foundries and batch plants that fill in between.

Inside the District: We work under South Coast AQMD every day. Rule 403 fugitive dust, permit conditions on collectors, source tests and visible-emission limits — we know what the inspector is looking for because we see it weekly.

About an Hour Out: Fontana to downtown, the San Gabriel Valley and the Gateway Cities is roughly an hour; the ports, South Bay and San Fernando Valley are within two. Filters ride out with the crew.

Any Collector, Any Brand: Donaldson Torit, Camfil, Imperial Systems, UAS, Nederman, RoboVent, MikroPul and the older baghouses that anchor L.A.’s aggregate and cement operations.

DID YOU KNOW?

In L.A., the dust you don’t collect has neighbors

Los Angeles industrial zones sit shoulder to shoulder with housing, and South Coast AQMD complaint response is fast. A collector that is technically running but drifting on pressure drop, or a transfer point that fogs on a windy afternoon, becomes a violation before it becomes a maintenance ticket. We keep the collector inside its permit and the dust inside the fence.

Los Angeles Dust Collection FAQs

How fast can you get to a dust collector in Los Angeles?

About an hour to downtown, Vernon, Commerce and the San Gabriel Valley from Fontana; up to two to the ports and the San Fernando Valley. Emergency service is same-day and we answer 24/7 at (888) 480-0680.

Can you help with a South Coast AQMD notice of violation?

Yes. We diagnose why the collector or the source failed, fix it, and prepare the engineering data — airflow, pressure drop, control efficiency — you need for your response. We are not attorneys, but we have been through it with many L.A. plants.

Do you service food-plant and combustible-dust collectors?

Yes. Flour, sugar, starch, wood, plastics and metal dusts are combustible, and NFPA 660 requires a dust hazard analysis and protection on the collector. We perform the analysis and install the isolation, venting and suppression hardware.

Which brands of collectors and filters do you carry?

We service every major brand and stock Donaldson, Camfil, Imperial Systems, UAS, Nederman/Pneumafil and RoboVent filters in Fontana, with cross-references for the rest.
