Ordering filters that actually fit

• Match the collector, not the catalog. Make, model and bag count off the nameplate beat guessing from dimensions.
• Media matters. Temperature, moisture and dust chemistry pick the media — polyester, aramid, PTFE-membrane and more. Tell us the application, not just the size.
• Cages wear out too. Bent or corroded cages kill new bags early; inspect at every change-out.
• Change-out labor available. Supervised bag change-outs are a core service — parts and labor from one call.

Media selection at a glance

Finishes matter too: singed, glazed, oleophobic/hydrophobic and antistatic treatments are chosen from the dust’s behavior. Send the collector model, the dust and the temperature — media selection is a two-minute conversation that prevents a premature change-out.

How bags fail (and what it tells you)

• Holes low on the bag, inlet side: abrasion from inlet velocity — consider inlet baffling.
• Blinded, heavy bags: moisture or oil — check compressed air quality and dew point in the housing.
• Cage-pattern wear stripes: worn or bent cages flexing the fabric — replace cages, not just bags.
• Brittle, discolored fabric: temperature excursion or chemical attack — media upgrade time.
• One row leaking: failed pulse valve or seat gasket on that row — fix the valve, then the bags.

Change-out best practices

• Trend DP before and after — a new set should settle into a stable break-in DP.
• Inspect every cage; bent or corroded cages kill new bags early.
• Seat snapbands fully — a half-seated band is a guaranteed leak path.
• Dispose properly — the dust on the bags is the same dust your permit cares about. Our change-out service handles it.

• Collector make and model (nameplate photo is perfect)
• Bag dimensions — diameter × length — and top/bottom style (snapband, raw edge, ring)
• Media and finish — or the dust + temperature and we’ll spec it
• Quantity and cages — count the rows, and order cages if there is any wear doubt
