VigiFlap™ Explosion Isolation Valve (EV-VF)

NFPA 69 requires explosion isolation between your dust collector and the building it serves — the VigiFlap™ is the passive valve that does it. Held open by airflow during normal operation, its round domed flap slams shut against an explosion pressure wave, stopping flame and overpressure from propagating through ducting into connected equipment and occupied areas.

Passive protection means no sensors, no bottles, no controls — the explosion itself closes the valve.

Specifications

  • Sizes: ø6″ to ø54″ (ø160–1350 mm)
  • Compliance: NFPA 69, EN 16447, ATEX certified
  • Construction: Painted steel or AISI 304 stainless; EPDM gaskets, optional FDA silicone rated to 356°F
  • Mounting: Inlet or outlet positions on dust collectors, cyclones, and filters

Key Features:

  • Passive isolation: No detection system required — the pressure wave itself closes the flap.
  • Low pressure drop: Round domed flap design stays out of the airstream during normal operation.
  • Inlet or outlet mounting: Proprietary locking mechanism allows use on both sides of the vessel.
  • NFPA 69 / ATEX / EN 16447: The certifications your AHJ and insurer want to see.
  • Food-grade option: FDA silicone gaskets for sanitary applications.
